Bodyworks Deep Tissue Massage
A deep and targeted touch focuses on areas of tension, pain and/or limited range of motion. Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. This treatment is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. We always work within each individual's level of comfort and customize your treatment for your specific needs. Bodyworks deep tissue treatment is enhanced with aromatherapy and heated elements to relieve muscular stress and increase circulation.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger point therapy is also known as Myotherapy or Neuromuscular Therapy and applies concentrated pressure to "trigger points" (painful irritated areas in muscles) to break cycles of spasm and pain. Most muscular pains have a trigger point that causes the muscle to go into spasms. Trigger Point Therapy involves placing pressure on that trigger point so that the muscle can relax and the pain can be lessened. Pressure is generally applied with fingers, knuckles, and elbows. This treatment is similar to deep tissue massage, however, there is much more focus on "problem/trigger" area's to allow the trigger point to release. We always work within each clients comfort level. We also enhance this treatment with heated elements and customized aromatherapy.
Pre-Natal Massage
Pre-Natal Massage is extremely beneficial for Mom and baby. This nurturing massage uses a light to medium touch to increase circulation and soothe the body and mind while focusing on the challenges that the body endures during this special time. We enhance this treatment with the highest quality products safe for mother to be and baby. During this massage the client will be in a side-lying position. The abdomen will not be manipulated during this treatment and Mom must be out of her first trimester.
